As we have been seeing 3 IPL seasons pass by, each one has delivered surprises over surprises and the latest one by IPL3 beeing the introduction of mongoose bat(by Mathew Hayden).
Well whats actually in the bat that makes it so special?
Firstly just going on visual grounds , it has a blade 33% shorter than the normal bats and a handle bigger than the normal length.
Though tough to play with without practice , this bats provides 15% more bat speed and 20% more power which helps especially in T20 format.
The main plus point comming with this bat is tgat the "SWEET SPOT" is twice the size of a normal conventional bat.
Just have a look at how this bat , the brainchild of Marcus Codrington Fernandez looks like:

HAPPY BENGALURU!!!
The Indian team led by Gautham Gambhir kept the spirit of Bengaluru high by showing a outstanding chasing performance against New Zeland yesterday.Yousuf Pathan proved that he deserves to be in the World Cup squad for India by playing a blizzard innings proving himself with both bat and the ball.
With every player giving eye catching performances,BCCI might feel it a little troublesome as to who has to be selected for the world cup squad.

Bowl It Right - GOOGLY
- To bowl a googly, you grip the ball the same as you would for a leg break but hold it so your palm faces away from you. As you bowl, you bring your elbow close to your head and cock your wrist so that back of your hand faces the batsman. You spin the ball by rotating the fingers. If done properly, the ball should turn from off to leg for right handers.
- If done properly, the ball should turn from off to leg for right handers.
- If the batsman comes out of his crease and misses the googly, he can be stumped.
KEEP TRYING TILL YOU GET IT RIGHT.
ALL THE BEST!!

Bowl It Right-OFF SPIN
- Grip the ball. The grip for spin bowling is very different from seam bowling.
- Position the fingers. The middle joints of the index, middle finger and third finger are well spread across the seam. The little finger and thumb are not involved.
- With offspin, you are looking to rotate or spin the ball from your forefinger to your third finger
- Release. The fingers rotate as the ball exits the hand(This is almost like turning a doorknob as you release it from the front of your hand.)
- You should aim to bowl the ball outside the off stump. If you bowl too close to the stumps, the batsman may dispatch your ball to the boundary on the leg side.
Bowl It Right-LEG SPIN
- Grip the ball in your pointer, middle finger and thumb. your index finger and pinky finger shout resting on the side of the ball.
- Bend your wrist, not too hard as you want to keep flexibility.
- Raise your front arm high and pull it down, this should pull your bowling arm with it, make sure that your arm remains high
- Unbend your wrist by flicking it over, the third finger is what generates the spin
- Line and length is important, aim at middle and off and try to encourage the batsman into the drive.
